i saw the first two episodes. it is good. i cant believe its actually good. im so thrilled!!!! team francia forever
Yeah, as much as I liked Hillarys in "Younger" - this show just isn't good. Watched the first two Episodes and didn't laugh once. Tom Ainsleys performances came close twice - but Comedy Shows are supposed to make you laugh and at least make you smile a few times per episode. This show just doesn't do that. Maybe they should care less not to offend people and more about actually being funny...
This show is so unbelievably awful
This literally hurt to watch in the sense that you involuntarily tense up each time the laugh track goes off and you're not sure why, which turns into a whole-body cringe when they're just spamming it in. By the time the 25 minutes are up, your upper back feels like you've sat in coach for a 12 hour flight, and you just can't understand what the point or the merit of this being produced was.
[spoiler] Soo, first impressions from the first episode. I don't know whether I like that they put the father in the very first episode.... Makes it seem like they assume they aren't going to be around to tell stories about what made the mother the mother before the father came into the picture. I never minded the "wrong" girls from the original show. [/spoiler]
Don't waste your time if you were a fan of How I Met Your Mother. Copying the format doesn't automatically make it good. It's missing the comedy and chemistry that made the original so good.
The laugh tracks... just why?

Disappointment! No need for more episodes...
It's not great, but it's not a trash fire. I think all of the actors are doing great jobs, but the dialogue isn't always on point, and multi-cam sitcoms just get so zany with their plots and the choices the characters make, they often become so unrealistic it's unwatchable. I hope that doesn't happen to HIMYF, but I can already see it happening a little. That being said, I think for the first season this is a great jumping off point, and once the writers really find the right tone it could be a really good show.
I just can't. I gave it up till now, 6 episodes. The show just can't keep my attention. It's not "How I met your father - the female version", the vibe is different. But I didn't want to watch another version of that show anyways. Sometimes it feels a bit forced and way more slow paced. It's not for me. It's not even easy entertainment. It was quite hard to watch.
This was much better than I expected it to be, but Robin's cameo in episode 10 was just sad, and it just reminded me of how awful the main show ended. Other than that it was good though.
I just finished the first season and am not impressed with it. Right now I’m not sure if I’m going to watch anymore of it.
